Cache server definition
A cache server is a dedicated server that stores web content, like websites, images, videos, and web pages, in a local area network. This makes the web content readily available for end users because all of the data that is used to load and display the content is deployed locally rather than from the origin server, which could be miles away. Additionally, cache servers make web browsing, software updates, and other services over the Internet faster. With cache servers, previously requested information is stored temporarily, which improves the performance of websites because they decrease bandwidth usage and website loading speeds. This also makes it possible for users to access content offline.
