Yes, maintaining it remains challenging and not the easiest thing to justify financially, but its value goes beyond that. Meshnet was built as an experiment to give something new to our community, and we’ve realized that it deserves to keep evolving with you.
What does this mean?
- Meshnet features will stay live and supported.
- Our dev team will research ways to reduce development friction and explore improvements that could make Meshnet more appealing to a wider audience.
- We'll be open-sourcing Meshnet, so anyone who wants to peek under the hood, contribute, or even build on top of it will be able to do so. We believe this will not only help Meshnet grow but also empower the community that helped keep it alive.
We don’t have all the answers yet, but we’re in this together. Expect updates from us as we experiment and refine.
