Why the same hotel room costs different prices in different countries
The reason the same hotel may cost different across various countries is geo-based pricing. How does PriceMice work?
The PriceMice extension works in three simple steps. You just install the free browser extension on any Chromium-based browser (for example, Chrome, Edge, or Brave), sign in with your Nord Account, click the “Find better price” button next to a booking you like, look for a better price, and connect to a suggested VPN server to finish your purchase.
1. Enable the extension and browse normally
Once you’ve got the extension from your browser’s web store, search for hotels on a supported travel site just like you always do. When PriceMice is active, it’ll add a small “Find better price” button next to each room. No extra tabs, no separate searches — the option will appear right where you're already looking.
2. Click to compare
Click the “Find better price” button for PriceMice to check the room — identical dates, same guests — as priced in a set of other countries. The extension will then compare final prices that users will have to pay at checkout, and find the cheapest option. Within seconds, a popup will show you if and where it's cheaper and how much you'd save, with all taxes and fees included (if they are provided by the booking platform on the listing page), broken down per night and per stay.
Keep in mind, though, that prices are AI-matched and mistakes can happen. Furthermore, the extension finds deals based solely on the location. The price may change over time or be affected by other factors, including but not limited to price change by the lister or the booking selling out.
3. Book the deal
