What is a Nord Account?
Nord Account is a platform that unifies Nord services, including NordVPN, NordPass, and NordLocker. It’s a solution that will help you manage your accounts from a single place and sign into apps with a click. Similar platforms are used by tech giants like Facebook and Google and are recognized as an industry standard.
The Nord brand is probably best known as a market leader in VPN technology. It makes sense; we’ve been providing top-tier encryption services for years. However, when you see that classic Nord logo, it represents a lot more than just our flagship service.
Whether it’s on our VPN, our password manager, or any other Nord Security product, those little mountains are synonymous with our mission — to raise the bar and build a better, safer internet.
What does Nord Account do?
- Eliminates the need for multiple accounts and passwords. Using more than one Nord product and logging in with different accounts and passwords isn’t convenient. You might mix up your NordVPN and NordLocker login details and end up in an infinite loop of password resets. We don’t want that. Nord Account will unify the sign-in process. All you’ll need is one email address and one password, which will be recognized across all services
- Allows you to manage services from a single place. Nord Account will also give centralized account management. Once you log in to your Nord Account, you’ll be able to see all your active subscriptions for Nord products, extend or cancel them, see your billing history, download apps, and read the latest security reports.
- Logs you into NordVPN with a click. Nord Account was designed by using the OpenID Connect standard for user authentication. It will work similarly to Google or Facebook Login, meaning that if you are logged into your Nord Account on your browser, NordVPN will recognize your data, and you will be able to log in with a simple click of a button. Just look for ‘Login with Nord Account’ in your NordVPN app. The same applies to other Nord products.
- Protects you with MFA. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) allows you to double-lock your account, making it even harder for hackers and criminals to access it. You can easily set up MFA for Nord Account in just a few simple steps.
- Provides you a more user-friendly User Control Panel (UCP). As we were updating your user panel anyway, we thought: why not make it even easier to navigate and use? Therefore, Nord Account was designed to give you the best and most straightforward experience.

How do I get a free Nord Account?
You can’t get a free Nord Account, but you may still have seen offers online for one. These are not genuine, however, and are being run by scammers. We only offer a premium service, because that allows us to invest in our infrastructure and to keep your data safe.

Can I share my Nord Account account?
Our flagship service is NordVPN, so before getting Nord Account you might be wondering, “Can I share my NordVPN account?” — and the answer is yes! One NordVPN account covers up to 10 devices, so we understand that you might want to share that protection with close contacts whom you trust; family members, for example, or your partner.
However, we encourage you to be extremely cautious in doing so, and to only share your account with people you can absolutely rely on. Furthermore, if for any reason you think your account is at risk, please change the password immediately.
I’m a NordVPN user. Is there anything I need to do?
No, there’s nothing you need to do. Your current account details will automatically transfer to Nord Account. You’ll now be able to login to Nord Account here, where you can manage, upgrade or cancel your subscription for NordVPN or other products.
I want to get NordVPN. What do I do?
1. I use other Nord Products and already have Nord Account
If you currently use other Nord products, like NordPass or NordLocker, that means your account has already been transferred to Nord Account. To get NordVPN:
- Log into your Nord Account here.
- Go to “Dashboard” and under NordVPN click “Upgrade plan.”
- The checkout page will open. Choose your plan and complete the payment.
- Once you do, you’ll be able to sign into NordVPN with the same Nord Account details.
2. I’ve never used any Nord products
If you’ve never used any Nord products, you probably don’t have a Nord Account. Don’t worry, subscribing to NordVPN and creating a Nord Account is easy. Just follow these steps:
- Go to nordvpn.com and select your subscription plan.
- On the checkout page, fill in your details and complete your payment.
- We’ll send a Nord Account registration link to your provided email address. Click on it and create your account password.
- Download NordVPN and sign in with your Nord Account details. You can now manage your account and also sign up for other Nord services by logging into your Nord Account.
