Data intelligence is the process of analyzing data to help users make informed decisions, improve business efficiency and gain insights. This process includes utilizing advanced analytics, data mining, natural language processing, and machine learning that turn data into practical outcomes. Data intelligence comprises a few key elements like data collection, data visualization, and data integration that assist organizations in discovering patterns in data, identifying growth opportunities, and making data-driven decisions. In addition, these methods and elements play a significant role in detecting unusual behavior or activity and even predicting potential threats before they occur. Therefore, organizations can respond immediately to cyberattacks and implement proper security measures.

Data intelligence applications
- Threat detection and prevention. Data intelligence detects threats and vulnerabilities by analyzing page traffic and other online activities like system logs. Then, organizations prevent them by utilizing security measures like blocking suspicious traffic.
- Vulnerability management. Data intelligence identifies potential vulnerabilities in the users’ systems and prioritizes them due to their severity and likelihood of exploitation. It helps businesses address the most crucial vulnerabilities first, which reduces the risk of successful malicious activities.
- Incident response. If there is a data breach, data intelligence will detect the source of the attack, track how much it spreads, and notify the organization so it can respond to the security breach in no time.
