TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF NORD’S GIFT WITH PURCHASE PROMOTION

These are the Terms and Conditions of Nord’s gift with purchase promotion (“Promotion”). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which are a binding contract between you and nordvpn S.A. (“Nord”), so please read them carefully before entering.

1. Eligibility.

This Promotion is open to all individual legal residents of Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, provided they meet the specified eligibility criteria outlined below:

  • Participants must be aged eighteen (18) years old or over (at the time of purchase);
  • Participants must create a Nord account as first-time consumers during the Promotion Period;
  • Participants must purchase a two (2) year NordVPN Services plan (reflected on the NordVPN website; “Two-Year Plan”) during the Promotion Period; and
  • Participants must maintain the purchased Two-Year Plan subscription for more than thirty (30) days (i.e., not cancel the subscription under the “Money Back Guarantee” under Section 6.2 “Refund” of the General Terms of Service).

For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, individuals who meet the above criteria are referred to as “Participant” or “Participants”.

Employees of Nord, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and parent companies are not eligible to participate.

Purchase of a Two-Year Plan is necessary. No entry fees apply to be eligible for the Promotion.

2. Promotion Period.

The Promotion starts on 21 March 2024 at 11:00 AM Central European Time (“CET”) and ends on 30 April 2024 at 9:00 AM CET (“Promotion Period”). The timekeeping device used by Nord is the official clock of the Promotion.

3. Gift.

Upon successful purchase of the Two-Year Plan within the Promotion Period, each verified and confirmed Participant (who meets the following eligibility criteria as specifically defined herein) will be awarded with one (1) Global Gift Card. The value of the Global Gift Card depends on the Participant’s country of residence:

For residents of Sweden:

  • For the Standard or any other Tier I Plan – Global Gift Card worth SEK 100 (one hundred).
  • For the Plus or any other Tier II Plan – Global Gift Card worth SEK 200 (two hundred).
  • For the Complete, Ultra, or any other Tier III or Tier IV Plan – Global Gift Card worth SEK 300 (three hundred).

For residents of Norway:

  • For the Standard or any other Tier I Plan – Global Gift Card worth NOK 100 (one hundred).
  • For the Plus or any other Tier II Plan – Global Gift Card worth NOK 200 (two hundred).
  • For the Complete, Ultra, or any other Tier III or Tier IV Plan – Global Gift Card worth NOK 300 (three hundred).

For residents of Finland:

  • For the Standard or any other Tier I Plan – Global Gift Card worth EUR 10 (ten).
  • For the Plus or any other Tier II Plan – Global Gift Card worth EUR 20 (twenty).
  • For the Complete, Ultra, or any other Tier III or Tier IV Plan – Global Gift Card worth EUR 30 (thirty).

For residents of Denmark:

  • For the Standard or any other Tier I Plan – Global Gift Card worth DKK 100 (one hundred).
  • For the Plus or any other Tier II Plan – Global Gift Card worth DKK 200 (two hundred).
  • For the Complete, Ultra, or any other Tier III or Tier IV Plan – Global Gift Card worth DKK 300 (three hundred).

Each of the above Global Gift Card hereinafter individually referred to as the “Gift”. Restrictions apply; see details at https://www.support.gogift.com/. Please review GoGift terms of use and other policies carefully and make sure you understand them before you redeem the Gift.

The Participant may not redeem the Gift for cash. The Gift is as stated and nothing else is included.

4. How to Enter and Gift Delivery.

During the Promotion Period, all Participants meeting the criteria set forth in Clause 1 will be eligible to receive the Gift.

All eligible Participants will automatically receive the Gift via email within 50 (fifty) calendar days of the purchase provided that the 30 day period of the Money Back Guarantee has expired without the subscription being cancelled.No more than one (1) Gift per Participant: anyone attempting to enter more than once, including through multiple accounts or email addresses, will be disqualified.

5. Privacy.

Nord will retain the information pertaining to the Services, as set out in Nord’s Privacy Policy. No additional information concerning any Participant will be collected, except for data related to participation in the Promotion (purchase details and information about the received Gift). Such data will be processed only for the purposes of (i) organizing and coordinating the Promotion, (ii) ensuring compliance with these Terms and Conditions, and (iii) delivering the Gift. It will be retained for the duration of the Promotion and will be deleted no later than 6 (six) months thereafter. Participants have the right to object to participating in the Promotion and receiving the Gift at any time by contacting our support team at support@nordaccount.com.

6. Release and Limitation of Liability.

If the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons outside control of Nord (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of Nord that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this promotion), Nord reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disallow any reward claims at its sole discretion or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.

7. Additional Terms.

Each individual participating in the Promotion was, is, and shall be bound by the General Terms of Service for the duration of the use of Nord Services.

Nord may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (i) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or any of Nord’s websites; (ii) acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions; or (iii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If an entry is incomplete or if the Participant uses robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar methods, an entry will be disqualified. The authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Promotion at the actual time of the entry will be deemed to be the Participant and must comply with the rules set herein in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account. The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domains associated with the submitted email address.

8. Miscellaneous.

By participating in this Promotion, each Participant agrees that Nord’s decisions related to the Promotion and all distribution of Gifts are final. Any difficulties in interpreting these rules and any disputes will be settled by Nord or by the competent courts.

9. Governing Law.

The Terms and Conditions of this Promotion shall be governed by the laws of the country of legal residence of the Participant concerned and the courts of the country of the legal residence of Participant will have jurisdiction in all matters relating to the Promotion and its Terms and Conditions.

In compliance with the Electronic Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC) the accurate laws of the country of legal residence of the Participant will apply for consumers’ protection purposes.
