Marijus is a cybersecurity expert and the chief technology officer (CTO) at NordVPN, NordSecurity. He has been shaping NordVPN’s tech strategy and leading its engineering teams since 2019.


Marijus started his professional journey as an IT specialist at a government center before moving into freelancing as a web developer. Marijus later joined Nord Security as a Linux administrator, where he gained hands-on expertise that eventually prepared him for the CTO role.


Over the years, Marijus has shared his cybersecurity expertise with a global audience. He has been featured in media outlets such as Business Insider, Forbes, Authority Magazine, IGN, TechRadar, and The Telegraph, and has also appeared on TV, including TVP World and Channel 5.


He has also spoken at major events, including RightsCon 2025 in Taiwan, the Annual Meeting on Cybersecurity in Switzerland, the Cyber Security Accelerator in Ukraine, and Hacker Camp in Lithuania.
