MiFi is a brand name for a type of wireless router that can act like a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.

An attacker could potentially enable GPS on the MiFi device without the owner of the device ever knowing and then find the location of the device.
Stopping a MiFi attack
- Use a VPN when connecting to the hotpot.
- Set a strong password for your hotspot.
- Don’t share the hotpot’s password with anyone.
